Purpose and access

Homelab Backups is a privately operated tool used to back up and restore its operator’s personal homelab data to Google Drive using rclone. The public website provides information about the tool; it does not offer public accounts or a public backup service.

Use of the backup tool is limited to its operator and to accounts, systems, and data the operator owns or is authorized to manage. Do not use it to access data without authorization.

Backups and availability

Backup and restore operations may fail or be delayed. The tool does not guarantee that a backup will complete, remain available for a particular period, or restore successfully. The operator is responsible for checking backup jobs and verifying that needed data can be restored.

Third-party services

The tool uses Google Drive for backup storage. Google’s terms apply to use of Google Drive and its APIs. The public information site uses GitHub Pages, with Cloudflare providing DNS.
